Domestic water meter test system
Test and calibration systems for domestic and large water meters of all measuring principles – with piston, twin-piston or gravimetric reference system and optical register reading.
What the system delivers
Piston rigs, twin-piston systems for uninterrupted operation or gravimetric scales serve as reference. The choice depends on the flow range, the required uncertainty and the cycle time in production.
Register reading is optical or via pulse and communication interfaces; radio and bus protocols are supported for smart water meters. Clamping, venting and test sequence run automatically so that operator influence on the result is eliminated.
The systems are used by meter manufacturers, water utilities, verification bodies and accredited calibration laboratories.
Scope of supply

From single calibration to series testing
Three reference principles
Piston, twin-piston or gravimetric – matched to flow rate and target uncertainty.
Uninterrupted operation
The twin-piston system tests without a reset pause and significantly shortens the cycle time.
All measuring principles
Vane wheel, ultrasonic, volumetric and electromagnetic meters on one system.
Optical reading
Automatic register reading without manually noting start values.
Smart meter ready
Readout and parameterisation via radio, bus and pulse interfaces.
Testing to MID
Test point sequences and error limits to MID, OIML R49 and national requirements.
Technical specification
Configuration and expansion
Temperature control
Control of water temperature for tests at defined operating points.
Pressure test
Integrated tightness and pressure resistance test in the same cycle.
Automated handling
Feeding and removal of meters via conveyor belts.
Retrofit
Modernisation of existing test rigs to current controls and software.
