Domestic gas meter test system
Atmospheric test system with nozzle technology for series testing and calibration of diaphragm, ultrasonic and micro-thermal gas meters – from a single-position rig to 24 test positions.
What the system delivers
The system uses critical-flow nozzles as reference. Measurement accuracy therefore remains stable for years without moving reference parts wearing out. Testing is done with air in atmospheric operation; a closed-loop version is available for natural gas or hydrogen.
The clamping system is designed for a service life of 20 years in three-shift operation. Test programmes, meter master data and reports run through the inotech standard user interface – identical to all other inotech systems, including ERP integration.
The system is used by meter manufacturers in series production, by verification bodies and utilities for periodic testing, and in accredited calibration laboratories.
Scope of supply

Engineered for accuracy, throughput and service life
Nozzle technology
Critical-flow nozzles as reference – highest accuracy and long-term stability without moving reference parts.
All measuring principles
Diaphragm, ultrasonic and micro-thermal gas meters can be tested on one system.
Smart meter communication
Various protocols including fully encrypted DLMS communication and parameterisation.
Robust mechanics
Clamping system designed for a service life of 20 years in three-shift operation.
High throughput
Up to 100,000 tests per year, depending on the number of test positions and the test programme.
ERP integration
Integration with existing ERP and MES systems, data export and test report archive.
Technical specification
Configuration and expansion
Temperature chamber
Testing at defined ambient temperatures for type testing and approval.
Closed-loop operation
Changeover from air to natural gas or hydrogen in a closed circuit.
Automated handling
Feeding, clamping and removal of meters without operator intervention.
Meter purging
Removal of residual gases when testing used meters.
Retrofit
Modernisation of existing test systems to current controls and software.
